i think what you get to see on your tvs and read in the newspapers are selected items of news.
very biased, as "they" don't want to show you what's really going on.

I am just off now to drop some blankets and food at one numerous organisations that have stepped in to help these people. The situation is horrible and scary and way out of control!

Lou that sounds like a great idea - I think that with a bit pf planning this can be done (I will of course have to convince my other half of the reason why I am abandoning him for an overseas vac, but can be done! )

Lou - this situation is absolutely shocking! The zandspruit inofrmal settlement is no more that about 4 or 5 kilometres from where I live and I pass nearby the Kya Sands settlement almost daily! My filing clerk is hidiing for her life as she is a zimbabwe'en immigrant!
These Zimbabween people should be treated as refugees and be placed in refugee camps where they can be protected! Why are the army not stepping in? Why is our beloved president not saying anything! There is a now a mob mentality which has taken over!

difficult to understand how even heavys that taught about having a relatinship with god now proclaim that it was imagined after leaving the truth.

Simply put... NO - I never understood how one was meant to have such a relationship and I still dont - God is a concept, but not a reality to me.
i guess i'm just looking around for other parents experiencing similar situations as i am -while being df'd and having little family support!.
my oldest (9 yr old) son is asperger's (highly functioning autistic) and ocd.
i worked really hard with him through behavioral therapy and medication and he is doing so well.
To all those parents who have kids with problems, I have huge amounts of respect and admiration. Being a mom is a hard job on it's own, but throw a kid with special needs into the mix - well I just dont know if I could do it!
My aunt is a mom to a son who was born with multiple problems - deafness, heart problems, learning problems, social problems and so many more - Eventually by the time he was in his teens, they found out that he had a syndrome that encompassed all of the problems that he had called Vello Cardio Facial Syndrome. Well to cut a long story short - he is now 24 - she is approaching her 60's and on the verge of breakdown. Take time for yourself and get councilling and support with dealing with the problems you experience,
this evening i am letting my ex-girlfriend's 18 year old son borrow my convertible for his senior prom.
we have been getting along great lately, he invited me to play tennis with him, and had me come watch him pitch for his high school baseball team.
until this week, he hasn't told his mom about seeing me.

You have no idea how envious I am Lou!!! I have so seriously considered maxing my credit card and going with her but I just cant afford it no matter how many different ways I try and do the math!

i swear, jehovah's witnesses only come when i'm hanging out in sweatpants and a tank top with no bra on.
if i am wearing a bra, they don't come.
LOL - I remember going on FS with my dad and knocking on a door where you could clearly hear the couple inside having a bit of Sunday morning fun - my Dad shouted in that we would come back later, and you know what... he insisted we went back!
